community.
So, one thing I am most excited about in this journey is the community that is going to build from our core. The people we are gathering are PASSIONATE believer – passionate about the city of Atlanta, the Lord, seeking the Lord, reaching the lost and meeting believers where they are. I feel like for the past 5 years or so I have been very sagnent. After working in a ministry full time and pouring myself out ALL the time, I just feel dry. I so desperately long for the passion that I felt when I was on the mission field – the urgency to spend time with the Father. In full honesty, I don’t feel that right now, but I so long to.
We had some friends over for dinner last night and when they were telling us more about themselves they said “our heart is God’s heart.” Um, hello. That is the most profound (yet simple) statement I have ever heard. I want that to be the first thing that comes out of my mouth when people ask what my passion is. How amazing.
I am excited about our core group. I am excited about meeting regularly, praying together regularly and dreaming together. What an amazing, challenging and inspiring year this is going to be….
