new york
I had an amazing, AMAZING time in New York. The trip started with 2 days at one of my best friends house, Kate. She and I met our freshman year at Belmont University – our dorms were 2 doors down from each other. We were instant friends and connected immediately. After I left Belmont Kate and I stayed close, however, the past few years we have SUCKED at staying in touch…it’s really terrible when I think back on it! I planned this trip with my sister, mom and aunt and thought I would try to spend a few days with her, and I am SO glad I did. It has been about 5 years since we had seen each other but the moment we saw one another it was like not a moment had passed. We laughed, talked for hours on end about our businesses, relationships, love, our crazy lives, explored the city, shopped, went to fun restaurants and worked out…it was such a blessing to spend those 2 days with her and we made plans to chat more frequently… and I hope it’s less than 5 years before we see each other again!!! (p.s. make sure you check out her amazing business, Four Corners Creative!!)
After a fun adventure with Kate, I met my mom, sister and aunt for a super fun weekend! We stayed at the AMAZING Waldorf-Astoria (helloooo posh!!!!), shopped (A LOT – my fave!!!!), ate, explored, saw shows (Jersey Boys as well as the So You Think You Can Dance (live tour)), saw a movie and shopped some more! We seriously had so much fun. Kelly has been in England for 6 weeks so it was fun to get to see her and hang out for a few days while she was still seriously jet lagged.
Looking forward to going back again someday, and next time we will take our other sister with us too!
