Friday Five
hey! remember these? This is when I used to actually blog regularly, so now…consider Friday Fives a treat! So, here we gooooo!!
1. Philosophy Amazing Grace – the body wash and the perfume….amazing. It is so light and delicious – my new favorite scent! Which says a lot, I haven’t switched it up since HIGH SCHOOL.
2. Pinterest – are you a wanna be DIYer and love looking at beautiful photos of design, food, clothes, etc? Well, Pinterest is seriously THE JAM. Yep, I said “the jam”. You look at photos posted by others and then you “pin” them onto your own little design/creative boards. Such a great way to easily save ideas and inspiration. It is invite only for now, so if you want an invite, leave a comment below!
3. Young House Love – this is seriously the most precious blog ever, and I feel like we are internet BFFs even though we have never spoken and they have about 100,000 readers a day – much like it is over here on Loving Dangerously. ::crickets::crickets:: Since moving into the bungalow I keep thinking, “oh, I need to Young House Love this area”, so they have become a verb to myself in my head. Maybe one day I will actually attempt to “Young House Love” something myself…DIY has never really been a strength of mine, but in my mind I would be REALLY good at it. Make sure you check out their blog!
4. You Need a Budget – it’s true, the Case family officially needs a budget. Our whole marriage has been pretty low key financially. We are not credit card users so we don’t spend what we don’t have, both cards are paid off, etc. Since the purchase of the bungalow we now have: 2 mortgages, a car payment, appliances to pay off, moving expenses, home repairs, a child on the way, etc (you know, nothing big happening in our lives…), I think the old method of just checking on the account everyday is over…time to get a budget! I have tried Mint and I just HATE it! I know some people LOVE that it’s all automated, but I want to get in there and categorize and balance it out the old school way – so I have been using You Need a Budget. We’ll see how this goes – I’ll do a little review/update post in a few months!
5. My new house. Although I never, EVER want to move again, I am so happy with our new home! It’s tiny and awesome. We purchased a 1920s bungalow and it really is the perfect house for us. It’s in such a fun neighborhood (that we can’t wait to be more involved in!!), right across the street from a school, and is exactly what we were looking for!
Now look for posts the next few months of projects and transformations…hopefully!
