Baby Case’s Finished Nursery!

Ok, you saw the inspiration pinboard, and now…months later, Baby Case’s nursery is DONE! I am SO proud of how it turned out and it’s really the first room I feel like I was able to put together start to finish. Thanks to lots of inspiration from Pinterest, Young House Love and lots of other creative peeps in my life…

Hope you love it…and if you don’t….hope you don’t say anything! :)

transitions.

Well, my dreams of documenting this pregnancy and impending motherhood on the blog are clearly shattered seeing as I am due in 4 weeks and I haven’t posted in…almost 3 months. I’ve been thinking a lot lately how much of our life is in a total transition stage right now: our last Sunday at Cumberland is this weekend and we are transitioning into going full steam ahead with Resonate, we are having our first child in 4 weeks and transitioning out of a life of just the 2 of us to a life that is going to look VERY different…so many changes ahead!

As we head into our last Sunday at Cumberland this week something in my heart is SO excited about what is next and the vision of Resonate coming fully to life, but there is definitely a sense of greif in that as well. We have been at Cumberland since we were engaged, it is our first church home together and we are deeply, deeply invested in the ministry and the people there.…

oh pregnancy…

welp, I am experiencing my very first pregnancy pains! Saturday night I started getting a very, VERY sharp pain in my left ribs and radiating up to my shoulder and down my arm. No matter what position I am in, it is a pretty severe and constant pain. The only SLIGHT relief I get is if I lay on my left side with my left arm completely extended…not the most productive position!

I called the doctor today just to make sure they feel ok with everything and they wanted to see me to make sure things were ok (like blood pressure, etc), and everything definitely was. The diagnoses: inflamed cartilage and strained ligaments in my rib cage. Solution to the proble: absolutely nothing. I have had this problem before (in my sternum, not ribs) and was able to take RX ibuprofen and heat it, but that’s not an option in pregnancy.…

this terrifies me…

this terrifies me…

it’s the first week of June and this is the forecast…really?!?! This is not looking good for July/August.

We’re gonna need a few things in the Case household:

1. Need to have our AC looked at, it’s never gotten really, really cool and think it needs a little freon charge

2. A ceiling fan in the main room – it’s purchased, just needs to be installed

3. The ice cream man to start driving by daily again

things I miss…and things I love!

(I apologize for the formatting in this post – for some reason the bullets are not working for me today!!)

Ok, you guys know I am not shy about talking about real things here, so I thought I would do a post about the things I miss about “normal life” during pregnancy.  Hopefully some of you prenant ladies can relate, or else this post is really going to make me look like a hormonal basketcase! :) I thought I would be one of those women who *love* being pregnant, but, I have learned that alas, I am not! I am so, so, so excited to meet Little Girl (and really love feeling her move around…that part of pregnancy is cool!!) and can’t wait to prepare for her arrival, but when it comes to the actual pregnancy…not lovin’ it!

**disclaimer:: Again, I am SO excited to be pregnant and about meeting this baby!…

Update on Baby Case!

Update on Baby Case!

So, as we all know, I am the worst blogger of all time. At least I can own it! So, a little update on Baby Girl Case! I am 22.5 weeks, so more than 1/2 way there which is C-RAZY!!  Because of my stroke I will be delivering around 38 or 39 weeks, so that means we are even closer than we think, which is so exciting and terrifying at the same time!  So, where are we at in preparation for her arrival? About the same place we were when we found out in January – ha! We haven’t really registered (I have for a few random things), looked at furniture, bought any clothes or things for her room…we really should get on some of those big things in the very near future!

This pregnancy has been pretty easy to this point and I pray it continues! Other than morning sickness in the first trimester I have really been feeling fantastic!…
